Moses discovered that God’s tangible presence is what most distinguishes God’s people. While God is omnipresent, there seems to be a particular intensity and experience of God that is reserved for those who are devoted to Him.

As Moses prays in Exodus 33:17, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.” This theme is echoed in the New Testament, such as when James writes in 4:8, “Come near to God and he will come near to you.”

One of the most impactful ways to encounter the tangible presence of Jesus is through prophecy.

In this 12 minute equipping video, we discuss some powerful insights as to the nature of the prophetic gifts, and how they can help us grow closer to Jesus and mature in Christlikeness.

We share with you examples of how to wisely step into prophecy in your group life, as well as online services, by balancing openness to the gifts of the Spirit with pastoral kindness and sensitivity.

Finally we comment on a simple way of understanding the three distinct parts of a prophecy – revelation, interpretation, and application.
