Spiritual Warfare and the Power of Holy Communion
WELCOME to Issue #215 of The Seedhead from Alex and Hannah at Dandelion Resourcing - a weekly confidence booster to help you step into naturally supernatural discipleship and mission!
Join us in sharing in the Lord’s Supper as a powerful way to see breakthrough in spiritual warfare!
Holy Communion - or the Lord’s Supper, Eucharist, or Breaking Bread, depending on your tradition - is a central sacrament of the church. We gather to remember Christ’s death on the cross for us, His body broken and blood shed in order to restore us fully back into the household of God.
Throughout the centuries, christians have reflected on the numerous different aspects of Communion. These include the spiritual warfare perspective.
We see there that Jesus is the triumphant victor (Christus Victor is the theological term) over satan and all his wicked schemes and followers. Jesus has crushed the enemy, and we simply await the final enforcement of that wonderful victory. From this perspective, the cross is a powerful and mighty thing in all it achieves.
In this video we share about using Communion as part of how you do spiritual warfare, whether in aggressive or defensive modes.
We then take a little time to actually show you how to do this. To get the most from this video, come with bread and wine/ juice in order to join in with the time of prayer and ministry from the Spirit.

Next Steps
While of course honoring your church’s theology of Holy Communion, how can you utilize this as part of how you engage in spiritual warfare?
We love how earthed and rooted out faith is, and the sacraments are the most meaningful examples of this. We encourage you to explore the power of Communion when preparing for or engaging in spiritual warfare. The Lord is might, powerful, and victorious!
With love,
Alex + Hannah
