“It was amazing how hippies, homeless people and the marginalized were being transformed by the Word of God into preachers, worship leaders and agents of redemption.”
So one reflection on the Jesus Movement of the late 1960s/ early 1970s summarized its impact.
This reality led to an explosion of new churches and ministries across the country.
As one of the leaders in the Jesus Movement, Ralph Moore and his wife Ruby planted Hope Chapel Hermosa Beach, in Los Angeles California. 50 years later, this has mushroomed into at least 2,700 new churches and countless transformed lives. In spite of that, Ralph is one of the humblest Kingdom leaders I know, and a man who I love spending time with.
Graciously, Ralph has given us an extended interview on his experience of the Jesus Movement, both positive and disappointing, and his inside scoop on how it actually felt to be caught up in a reviving work of the Spirit.
