How to Make an Annual Plan for 2025!

WELCOME to Issue #225 of The Seedhead from Alex and Hannah at Dandelion Resourcing - a weekly confidence booster to help you step into naturally supernatural discipleship and mission!

Set specific goals that align with your calling and make a lasting impact

It’s 2025! This is a year full of potential and possibilities, blended with options and opinions, for how we focus our energies and attention.

However, unlike most people, you’re going to move forward in proactive intentionality, rather than in reactive mode!

Ephesians 2:10 announces that “we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

If the Lord has made the effort to make plans for us in 2025, don’t you think we have a responsibility to partner with Him in discerning, establishing, and walking out those good works?

A few weeks ago we showed you how to do an annual review - so make sure you’ve done that before attempting a plan for the year ahead.

In this video, Alex shares an overview on how to make an annual plan…

Next Steps

  1. Set aside some time (at least 1 hour) this week to plan for the year ahead. Put this on your calendar now!

  2. Pray that the Lord will guide you - both in what you can foresee, and to position you well for the things you can’t.

  3. Dream about what you’d like to be popping champagne corks over when we reach Christmas 2025. Don’t water it down - go after that thrilling and compelling dream!

  4. As you look at the different buckets of your life (e.g. spiritual, family, work, missional living, experiences, health, finances, etc), try to set goals that are specific to those areas.

  5. What resources will you need to reallocate in order to attempt, and hopefully fulfill, your goals?

  6. Who will you discuss your annual plan with? See if they’d like to do their own annual plan, so that you can help each other.

  7. When will the review points be during 2025 (e.g. every 90 days)? Put actual dates in your calendar now, and ask your accountability partner to do the same.

The discipline of annual planning is powerful. A little investment at the start of the year will pay dividends in the months ahead - so long as you follow through and keep listening to the tweaks and updates that Jesus will bring along the way.

With love,
