A New Hunger to Prophesy
We’ve been traveling a ton this year - which is such a joy and privilege, as we’re able to spend time with churches and leaders in so many different countries, states, and contexts. God’s church is so beautifully varied and interesting!
As we reflect, we are seeing some common themes too.
One of those unifying threads is that is a greater desire to step into the prophetic gifts.
In fact, from our perspective, we would say that this is far higher than at any other time since the late 1990s. Wow! The Lord is on the move!
There is a hunger to know God more closely, to hear the voice of Jesus, and to be (greater) released into the gifts of the Spirit that relate to prophecy. We believe that this is a work of the Spirit, probably not unrelated to the stirrings that He has been up to at places like Asbury.
In this quick video, Alex shares a little about what we’ve been noticing in recent months. He also gives a simple and practical next step that you can use personally, or you can share with those you’re discipling, in order to grow daily in the prophetic gifts.
Here’s the video:
Next Steps…
For the next 7 days, choose to WAIT and LISTEN for 30 seconds every time you have the opportunity to pray with or for someone, or whenever you’re making a decision that naturally requires you to pause and consider your options.
Who will hold you accountable for doing this?
If you’re investing into others, have them do this same exercise (including the accountability bit!).
