Watch This Before You Pursue Miracles!
"The master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew."
(John 2:9)
The Bible is full of the miraculous.
The Old Testament classics (parting of the Red Sea, Elijah on Mount Carmel, Daniel in the Lions’ Den)
The abundance in the ministry of Jesus (feeding of the 5,000, people raised from the dead, walking on water)
The continuation in the life of the early church (prison breakouts, people being transported in the Spirit, hankies bringing healing)
God is a miracle worker - and He commissions us to do the same.
The Bigger Picture
According to John, miracles are ‘signs’ that point to a greater reality. They help us connect more deeply with the in-breaking Kingly rule of Jesus, stirring us to hunger for more of His abundance in our lives.
Miracles help us overcome the mindset of scarcity, instead seeing that our God reigns and rules in any and every dimension of existence of which we can possibly think.
How Do We See More Miracles?
In this video we reflect on some of the miracles we’ve seen personally or heard about from trusted friends, and then discuss how we can see more miracle events through our lives.
Miracles are not just random lightning strikes, and there are things that we can do to position ourselves to see God move through us more frequently.
Here’s the video to explain more:
Homework
Ask God for miracles to be part of your everyday life.
When you sense Him speak in the small things, step out in obedience. As you take the risk to respond in faith, you make more room for miracles to occur.
